BARCODE FORGE – Proven label printing software for label and desktop printers – and any other device with a Windows driver. Trusted by over 6,000 companies and institutions. Used across warehousing, logistics, and point of sale as well as safety-critical industries such as healthcare and food.
Maximum Quality on Any Medium and Printer Technology
Barcode Forge supports continuous labels, roll labels, label sheets (pages containing multiple labels), and plain documents such as A4 pages. It includes hundreds of templates for popular label formats from Avery, Dymo, Brother, and other manufacturers.
The software is compatible with both desktop and dedicated label printers. Since label printers often operate at lower resolutions (e.g., 203 or 300 dpi), the software automatically adjusts bar widths to match the printer's resolution. This ensures maximum barcode readability regardless of the hardware used.
Data Import from Excel, Access, CSV, and Databases
Barcode Forge allows you to import data to be placed on your labels from MS Excel, MS Access, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, MySQL, and MariaDB. SQL queries are also supported. Data from other sources can be imported via CSV files.
On-Demand Printing for POS, Warehouse, and Terminals
In addition to the printing of multiple labels in bulk, Barcode Forge has a special mode that allows you to instantly print individual labels by entering a value, such as a product code. This value can be entered via a keyboard or barcode scanner, which immediately triggers printing. This makes the software ideal for producing, for example, price tags or shelf labels on demand. In the same way, existing labels can be reproduced – simply scan the label's barcode.
Labels with Serial Numbers – As Barcode or Text
Barcode Forge supports both simple numeric and complex alphanumeric series, printing them as either readable text or as barcodes. You can specify a start value and an end value, as well as the step size and the number of repetitions. Leading zeros can be added automatically to ensure consistent lengths. The numbers can be generated in ascending or descending order.
Static and Variable Graphics per Label
Barcode Forge supports variable graphics, meaning that each label can display a different image. This makes it possible to create price tags with product images or membership cards with photos, for example. The images are referenced by file path and loaded automatically when printing. The software also supports static images, enabling the same company logo or safety symbol to appear on every label.
Configurable Label Copy Count
When printing, you can specify how many copies of each label you want. You can either set a fixed number of copies for all labels, or specify a different number for each dataset. To do so, simply add a column to the data table containing the desired count per dataset.
High-Precision PDF Export with CMYK Support
Conventional PDF printers often prioritize smaller file sizes over precision. In contrast, Barcode Forge has a built-in PDF export feature that stores barcode coordinates to six decimal places. The resulting PDF files can be printed on laser or inkjet printers without any loss of quality (e.g., in different locations).
The PDF export also supports CMYK colors, enabling color-accurate output with precisely defined color components. Text is converted to curves, eliminating the need for fonts. Together, these features make the PDF files fully self-contained and ready for print shops, with no font dependencies and with colors defined exactly as they will be printed.
Built-in QR Code Templates
Barcode Forge includes templates for QR Code use cases such as vCard (business, private, and detailed), URL, Email, Phone, SMS, and GeoLocation. These templates can be freely customized and extended with additional fields.
